At Haikou in Pingtung, the downslope wind is not just a passing weather event, but a presence that runs through the flow of time. When one walks to the edge of the coastline, the body ceases to be the protagonist and becomes a receiver of the wind — the work "Windscript" is born in this kind of liminal meteorological field. Using bamboo as a writing tool, it inscribes pathways for air to pass through, building nests for the wind.
This work takes wind as its central theme. Here, the wind is not merely an external force of nature; it is a cohabiting presence that shares the same space with us. "Windscript" is composed of overlapping bamboo elements, forming a curved, dynamic structure whose posture resembles sea winds lifting the dunes, or the meteorological ridgelines traced by air currents carving across the landscape. It is like a fissure through which the wind penetrates the earth, and at the same time, a ritual of resonance between wind and body.
The work responds not only to the place's geographical conditions but also explores how wind becomes a medium of perception. Between sea wind and sunset, it allows art to move beyond merely recording a site, and instead to dream together with it — carried by the wind into an ongoing realm of imagination.
