“2017日本北阿爾卑斯國際藝術祭”

2017年時我受邀參與日本的「2017日本北阿爾卑斯國際藝術祭」。我思考著台灣與日本的自然環境與地理位置，試著找到一種共同與自然生活的自然力量。台灣與日本都是在颱風環境下生存的島嶼國家，也在每年颱風行經的路徑上。颱風帶來適量的雨水滋養萬物，有時卻帶來豪雨而引發災情。而這種特殊的氣象牽引著我們的生活、經濟與文化。因此這件作品我以這股自然力的形象作為台灣與日本兩地之間生活關係的串連，並在日本長野縣的鷹狩山山頂進行現地製作。

我與工作團隊和當地的志工們收集著現地的樹枝，將它以麻繩綑綁後，組成一個狀似狂動的氣旋自然雕塑。在現在快速地都市發展與科技生活底下，我透過這一個在山林間的颱風形象雕塑來提醒我們回看我們所生活的環境與土地。以風為媒介來傳遞自然的訊息與人與自然共存的生態平衡關係。

“Japan Alps Art Festival 2017”

In 2017, I was invited to participate in the "2017 Japan Northern Alps International Art Festival" in Japan. I thought about the natural environment and geographical location of Taiwan and Japan, and tried to find a natural force to live together with nature. Taiwan and Japan are both island countries that survive typhoons, and they are also on the path of typhoons every year. Typhoons bring a moderate amount of rain to nourish all things, but sometimes they bring heavy rains and cause disasters. And this special weather affects our life, economy, and culture. Therefore, I used the image of this natural force to connect the life relationship between Taiwan and Japan in this work, and made it on-site at the top of Mount Takakari in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

Together with my work team and local volunteers, I collected local branches and tied them with hemp ropes to form a natural sculpture that looks like a wild cyclone. Under the current rapid urban development and technological life, I use this typhoon sculpture in the mountains and forests to remind us to look back at the environment and land we live in. Wind is used as a medium to convey the message of nature and the ecologically balanced relationship between man and nature.

鷹狩山の展望台近くの森の木や枝を使った彫刻作品。

テーマは風。

自然のメッセージを運ぶ媒介である風の力を借りた、激しい大爆風の姿をした作品が森に現れる。

現地の地形や木の配置などを考慮しつつ、作品は直径30m前後となる予定だが、機械に頼らず、台湾と日本のスタッフが協働して手作業で制作される。

どちらも台風の通り道である台湾と日本の関係性とともに、人間と自然の生態学的バランスの重要性を表した作品。
