野作
“在野而作，自生其形。”
《野作》是種在自然之中生成的行動。我將身體置放於不同氣候與地景之中，透過勞動、感知與時間的累積，讓創作在環境裡逐步形成。本次展覽匯集46件於不同地域與氣候條件下完成的作品，從海岸、河床、山林到沙地，每一件皆源自於現地的風、土、水與光，呈現創作如何在自然條件中被觸發與生成。
創作從「場先於物」的觀點出發。場域不是作品的背景，而是作品生成的起點與核心；材料、形式與行動皆由現地條件所引導。身體的行走、採集與建構，使創作成為一種與自然共作的過程，而作品則是人與環境在特定時間中短暫交會所留下的痕跡。這些痕跡既是雕塑，也是對於存在狀態的回應。
在以「水」作為思考創作的長時間的實踐中。水的流動、滲透與轉化，映照著創作在不同環境中的變動方式。作品於動與靜、內與外之間游移，回應自然的力量，承載身體在場的經驗，使看似簡單的行動在時間中累積成為可被感知的形體與空間。
《野作》所呈現的，是一段段在自然中工作的軌跡。這些作品來自不同氣候與地景的對話，記錄著人在自然之中不斷適應、學習與回應的過程。當創作回到展覽空間時，它們成為另一種觀看自然的入口，讓我們重新感知那些來自風、土地與時間的生成力量，並思索人與自然之間持續變動的關係。
Wildcraft
“Working in the wild, form arises of itself.”
“Wildcraft” is a mode of action generated within nature. I place my body in diverse climates and landscapes, allowing creation to gradually take form through labor, perception, and the accumulation of time. This exhibition brings together 46 works realized across different regions and climatic conditions—from coastlines and riverbeds to forests and sandy terrains. Each piece originates from the wind, soil, water, and light of its specific site, demonstrating how creation is initiated and shaped by natural forces.
The practice begins from the perspective that “The field precedes the object". The site is not a backdrop to the work, but its point of origin and core. Materials, forms, and actions are all guided by local conditions. Through walking, gathering, and constructing, the body engages in a process of co-creation with nature. The work becomes a trace of the brief intersection between human and environment at a particular moment in time. These traces are both sculptures and responses to a state of existence.
Through long-term practice that takes “water” as a way of thinking about creation, the flow, permeability, and transformation of water reflect the shifting modes of making across different environments. The works move between motion and stillness, interior and exterior, responding to natural forces while carrying the lived experience of bodily presence. What may appear as simple gestures gradually accumulate over time into perceptible forms and spatial structures.
What “Wildcraft” presents are trajectories of working within nature. Emerging from dialogues with diverse climates and landscapes, these works record an ongoing process of adaptation, learning, and response. When brought into the exhibition space, they become another threshold for encountering nature—inviting us to re-sense the generative forces of wind, land, and time, and to contemplate the continually evolving relationship between humans and the natural world.
