“Water” is a reflection of our soul.

Water is one of the most fundamental elements of life on Earth. Approximately 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water—a proportion that closely parallels the water content of the human body, which itself is largely composed of water. As the most ubiquitous substance on the planet, water is also among the most mysterious. Since ancient times, it has carried countless metaphors, beliefs, and stories within human civilization.

Japanese scholar Masaru Emoto once proposed a perspective that sparked widespread discussion: the crystalline structure of water can be influenced by external information. His research suggests that water responds to human thoughts, music, emotions, prayers, and language, revealing its latent potential as a “medium that carries information.” Such observations invite us to reconsider water not merely as a material substance, but as an entity with the capacity to perceive and respond.

In different environments, water carries different forms of information and continuously surrounds and envelops our daily lives. Like a living organism, it transforms in response to terrain and climate, becoming rivers, lakes, ponds, streams, rain, ice, mist, and oceans—manifesting in diverse and fluid forms.

Based on this understanding, we propose the creation of a Water Dress for the Dorado Beach Resort. We believe this work resonates deeply with the theme “Patterns of Nature” of the 5th Golf Art Biennale 2024. By selecting a body of water within the resort as the site for on-site creation, the project seeks to establish an ongoing dialogue between art and nature through artistic transformation—tangibly embracing water itself.

“水”是我們靈魂的反映。

水是地球生命最基本的組成元素之一。地球表面約有 70% 被水所覆蓋，這個比例與人體內水分的含量相近，人類的身體本身亦主要由水構成。作為地球上最普遍的物質，水同時也是最神秘的存在，自古以來在人類文明中承載著無數隱喻、信仰與故事。

日本學者 Masaru Emoto 曾提出一項引發廣泛討論的觀點：水的結晶形態會受到外部資訊的影響。他的研究顯示，水能對人類的思想、音樂、情感、祈禱與語言產生回應，揭示了水作為一種「承載訊息的媒介」所具有的潛在能量。這樣的觀察使我們重新思考水不只是物質，而更像是一種具有感知與回應能力的存在。

水在不同的環境中承載著不同的訊息，也始終環繞並包覆著我們的日常生活。它如同一個活的有機體，依循地形與氣候條件變化為河流、湖泊、池塘、溪流、雨、冰、霧與海洋，展現出多樣且流動的形態。

因此，我們提出為多拉多海灘度假村創作《水禮服》這件作品。我們認為此作品能深刻回應「2024 第五屆高爾夫藝術三年展」中「大自然的圖樣」的主題。我們選擇度假村裡頭的一處水面進行現地製作，透過藝術的轉化在藝術與自然之間建立一場持續對話的關係，有形地擁抱水。
