The Shezi area is an alluvial plain formed by the intersection of the Keelung River and the Tamsui River. It used to be prosperous in the past and is also an important vegetable and fruit farmland in the Greater Taipei area. Now it has become one of the few -growing communities in Taipei. "Water" always plays an important role in the memory of the residents of the community. The changes in the geological environment and the planning of urban development in Taipei City also affect the lives of community residents. In addition to the evolution of wetland ecology and history, we can also see the coexistence of new and old dikes. Therefore, this work I use the "Water" and "Recycled objects" as the important elements of the work, and intertwined it with each other to create a wave of life on this land.
The installation is combined with the wetland huts on the new embankment, facing the old embankment in the wetland. This natural sculpture uses natural materials to construct the image of water. The installation method is made up of by hemp rope and dowel. I respond to the importance of natural ecology in a way that does not create an environmental burden. It is also the memory of the artificial wetland that carries the life of the community. This big wave of natural material is silently telling the story between man and land from the past to the present. It is also another bird habitat that breathes with nature.
