Guiding the Sand

Resident art - fun Xiluo-"Artist Residency at East Traditional Market project"

Chuo-Shuei River was largest river in Taiwan, but it already became smaller and different than before.
Must be something happened…

Every handful of sand in our hand represents a small convergence, an insignificant pureness. During my stay in Xilou Township, I extended the river sand from Chuo-Shuei River dot by dot to the exhibition venue of Yanping Road to connect the venue and Chuo-Shuei River through physical practice.

What we are trying to say?

What do we need?

What do we have and what are we left with?

This work was completed with the villagers during my stay in Xiluo Township, an extension of “The Guiding Sand” as well as an off hand study of the interaction.
