Jeju Island is a volcanic island. According to the myth of its creation, the world was shrouded in utter darkness for a very long time. Amid this darkness and chaos, signs of creation began to emerge. The Earth's surface cracked open at a specific moment, creating fissures. The boundary between the sky and the land became clearer. The ground began to rise, and water started to flow. During this time, bluish dewdrops fell from the sky, while black dewdrops rose from the earth. When these two dewdrops merged, all creation came into existence.
The work shows the fusion of these two fabulous dewdrops and reflects Jeju Island's geological miracle and mysterious charm with natural materials. Respond to the water resources issue on the island today with ancient myths.
