這是一件關於水與時間的作品。全球暖化加劇了氣候變遷，也導致極端天氣事件越發頻繁，全球氣候的溫室效應加劇了水資源缺乏的危機。水資源已成了現今人類所面臨的迫切課題。

樹木是山林的守護神，守護著我們的空氣、土地與水源，而漂流木曾經是森林中的樹，它們承載著自然的記憶，在經歷了山與海的洗禮後，帶著時光的痕跡。它們最終漂流至此。

「水種子」作品的形式源自於葉子、種子與水的形象。葉子象徵著出生與變化、旅程與漂流；種子代表起源與希望，在黑暗漫長的等待與光明相應的契約，在生命旅程中孕育出巨大的變化；水則意味著流動與連結，生命的永續循環。我將這三種形象融合後，以漂流木集合而成。我將漂流到海邊的漂流木帶回到山區中，化作如庇護所般冷靜的種子，也是生命流動與自然循環的誦讀。

「水種子」作品透過漂流木的旅程語彙，轉化成為一處人類與自然、與時間、與生命的沉思空間，回看我們的變化中的環境，交織著人與自然相遇的歸屬與演義。

“Legends of Driftwood: Art, Nature and the Stories of the Sea”

This is a work about water and time. Global warming has intensified climate change, increasing the frequency of extreme weather events. The greenhouse effect has exacerbated the global water crisis, making water resources one of the most pressing issues humanity faces today.

Trees are guardians of the forest, protecting our air, land, and water. Driftwood was once part of the forest, trees that bear the memory of nature. After enduring the trials of mountains and seas, they carry the marks of time. Eventually, they drift to this place.

The form of Aqueous Seed draws inspiration from the imagery of leaves, seeds, and water. Leaves symbolize birth and transformation, journey and drift; seeds represent origin and hope—a pact between long darkness and the light, nurturing profound transformation along the path of life. Water signifies flow and connection, the perpetual cycle of life. These three symbols are integrated into a form constructed from gathered driftwood. I bring the driftwood that has floated to the seashore back to the mountains, transforming it into a tranquil, shelter-like seed—a recitation of life’s flow and nature’s eternal cycle.

Through the visual language of the driftwood’s journey, Aqueous Seed becomes a contemplative space between humanity and nature, time and life. It reflects on our ever-changing environment, weaving a narrative of belonging and poetic encounter between humans and the natural world.
